  March 2001 Reflexite Corporation Names New Chief Operating Officer Rochester, New York – Reflexite Corporation, promotes Michael F. Foley, PhD, President, of Fresnel Optics, Inc., A Reflexite Company, to President and Chief Operating Office (COO) of Reflexite Corporation. Michael Foley will report to Cecil Ursprung, CEO, and be responsible for developing and achieving the corporation’s Annual Business Plan. In addition, Mr. Foley will play a major role in assisting the CEO, Cecil Ursprung, in implementing Reflexite’s Management of Light ® (MoL) business strategy, which will include acquisition activities, investigation of new business opportunities, and setting the company’s strategy for the future. This promotion comes in recognition of Mr. Foley’s leadership ability and business development expertise, and the corporation’s need to accelerate the implementation of the MoL business concept. Mr. Foley joined Fresnel in September, 1997, as President, Fresnel Optics. Under Mr. Foley’s leadership, Fresnel Optics has grown to an international company with well over 120 employee-owners worldwide. Prior to joining Fresnel, Mr. Foley was Group Vice President and General Manager for the Laboratory Products Group of Life Sciences International, Inc. in Needham, Massachusetts. Life Sciences International is a leading manufacturer of scientific equipment. Prior to that position, he was Manager of Process and Product Development for the Contact Lens Division of Bausch and Lomb, Inc. in Rochester. Before joining B & L, Mr. Foley held project management, marketing and technical positions at Draper La bs in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also has a PhD in Polymer Processing from MIT with a Minor in Business Administration from the Sloan School of Management. Mr. Foley was a college All-American Athlete and two time captain of the MIT lacrosse team and also a member of MIT’s NECHA Division III College Hockey Championship team. His hobbies include physical fitness, computers, literature and music. Mr. Foley, his wife, and 3 children will be relocating this spring from Rochester to the Avon, Connecticut area.
